This was the theme of a session I held today with a client. Building in the future as the past and having distinct memories of enjoying what is yet to come. We did some real Philip K. Dick kind of time jumping (without the drugs - well brain drugs).
We also went through her house and cleared out all of the crap that was triggering memories. She didn't leave my office of course, because really all that matters is to clear the house in the mind.
I'm finding as I work with more and more people that the real stuff isn't so important as feeling like one already has it and then being pleasantly surprised (and somehow not) when the stuff finally shows up.
Something else I learned: A healthy level of disgust is very useful!
Have a great weekend everyone! More podcasts on their way!
YES! YES! YES! It's all about the rock! What is your theme song? Do you have song that gets you fired up when you need it? Do you lift your arms to Valhala proclaiming your mighty power? If not, it's time my friend. It is time!

Wow! I feel awesome today. My knees don't ache like they normally do, I guess I have been telling them to feel young and they have been listening!
The early morning Tuesday POWER hypnosis sessions were excellent and I expect them to continue to be. Check out my "classes and workshops" section of this bloggo for details!
I can't believe I didn't write about this earlier. I was working with a client a few weeks ago and a voice (coming from down left and behind my head for you NLPers) said to me, "You will not make a movie or sell a screenplay until after you are 40!" It was a low authorative voice and it stunned me for a moment. To give some background, I had been getting pulled in two directions as to whether I should do hypnosis as a professions or become a screenwriter/movie maker. I was feeling a lot of anxiety about it, and really torturing myself, until I heard the voice. It was as if someone with much more wisdom was finally saying, "All right, here's the plan!" I feel great! I realize it wasn't so much whether I can do as when...
I'm thinking that I am going to do a free podcasts for agoraphobics. They can listen to it in the comfort of their own homes. If any of you out there know of anyone who cannot leave his/her home because of paralyzing fear, I do do housecalls!
More free podcasts are on their way! Enjoy your week!
Next blog entry: "What are you new?"
and landed on my about page...
New pic.
If this isn't incentive enough to be your own financial master then I don't know what will work. I worked for a corporation that celebrated a milestone by giving us all those hideous button down, blue denim shirts* that had the company logo embroidered over the left breast. This was to celebrate a milestone in some sort. Perhaps losing touch with anything pure and decent. Anyway, as a bonus, they lovingly told us that we could wear them on casual Fridays. This is all I could hear in my head, "Hi! I'm Mike! I totally suck!" Mine languished in the bottom of a file drawer for the duration of my tenure at the company. Shudder.
I was sitting by myself this morning feeling really freaking uncomfortable and didn't think I could shake it. I tried a bunch of different things and nothing worked. An image flashed in my mind. I was standing there looking at me, miserable, wearing nothing but that blue denim shirt and those old garter socks that men wore in the 30's. On the shirt were embroidered the words, "I am a big f***ing loser!" Excellent! I collapsed the image in my mind and INSTANTLY felt better. Then I saw myself again and it read, "I'm an a**hole!", collapsed it and now feel great!
Try it. Pick a big ugly over sized shirt and emblazon it with phrases like these:
I am depressed.
I am scared.
I'm an addict.
I am serious butt-ugly.
Whatever is fitting for your life. See how miserable you are wearing these fawking awful, disease ridden, urine-soaked costumes and crumble that image of you. NOW! Do it! See it turn to dust. IF you do this well, you WILL feel better. Absotutely garontee it!
Guys, if it helps, I want you wearing pink stirrup pants too! Go! Don't wait! Become a rock and roll fantasy baby!!
Have an amazing Friday radcores!
Mike
*They actually were stone washed. Please, knitting needles to eyes right now.
This is great question to ask yourself if you are working on changing a problem. I have been finding this very effective when working with clients, because you can get a distinct image of what your problem will look like in a year and imagine it crumbling before your eyes. It's in the future so it's obviously not real. The cool thing is you get to experience the relief of not having the problem in the present. This is great question for people for people who are still smoking, drinking, gambling, living with anxiety and depression and so on. Will the problem, as you are thinking about it now, still exist a year from now?
If the answer is yes, more work can be done in the imagination to change the triggers in the mind.
If the answer is no, you'll probably notice that any past cravings, or painful feelings are already gone. Right?
On the flipside, you can ask youself if that big project you've been mulling over (but not starting) will be done in a year. If the answer is no, more work must be done. If yes, stop reading this blog and get to work! Do 1% of your goal right now.
Stop reading! I mean it! Go!
What can I say? Well...RAD! Thanks David (http://www.creativecreativity.com) and thanks to everyone. I'm not sure how we're going to celebrate...
More coming soon!
EDIT: I feel after reflecting awhile that I didn't convey how much I really am enjoying sharing my hypnosis with people and how happy I am that people are both enjoying them and getting what they want in their lives! So, thank you to all who have listened, let's keep living the dream!
